Karura Officers

✎ Tezuka Kunimitsu: captain (Room 1)
The most senior officer on-board the Karura.

✎ Echizen Ryoma: senior flight officer (R 2)
The most senior flight officer on-board the Karura.

✎ Tooyama Kintarou: security officer (R 3)
Assigned to interact with passengers and prevent anything untoward from happening.

✎ Zaizen Hikaru: technology officer (R 4)
In charge of IT and connectivity on-board Karura.

✎ Oshitari Yuushi: senior medical officer (R 5)
The best health care the Kakura can provide.

✎ Inui Sadaharu: EAA science officer (R 6)
Science advisor to the Karura crew and sample collector for the EAA. In the name of open access science, Inui produces the video blog, 'Will it blend?'. Outreach has never looked so mushy.

✎ Fuji Syuusuke: EAA outreach officer (R 7)
In charge of the flow of information between passengers and crew, Fuji publishes regular updates from the 'Captain's Report' to security reminders.

✎ Yukimura Seiichi: bounty hunter (R 101)
One of the few individuals with his own mode of transport, Yukimura comes and goes from the Karura. It's unknown where he spends his hours off-ship, but when he's visiting it's healthiest if he's not looking for you.

✎ Niou Masaharu: scientist (R 102)
Supposedly studying the effects of different environments on life forms, Niou is more interested in the menagerie of cats aboard the ship.

✎ Mizuki Hajime: therapist (and rival spy) (R 104)
Living in space is psychologically tough and passengers and crew alike are advised to talk the rough spots through... and inadvertently provide the EAA's rivals with helpful information for breaking their interstellar monopoly.

✎ Oishi Shuichiro: physical therapist (R 105)
Ensuring your muscles and joints still work when your feet hit true land.

Karura --named for the enormous divine bird guardian-- is a ship to hold a generation. Moving between star systems, it offers its residents employment, adventure and a place to call home.

The ones who join Karura on its flight are those who seek a life beyond that found on a single planet. Some wish to extend their reach beyond a few office walls, others yearn to be the first to see something new while still more just want to find people like themselves. These are the lifeblood of Karura that call the ship their family.

With stars set between yawning voids of nothingness, Karura’s family are here for the long haul. Very few passengers can come and go regularly and all are committed to building their lives within the belly of the massive spaceship.

The spaceship Karura is structured as a giant ring that rotates to allow her inhabitants to enjoy Earth-strength gravity. When in motion between the star systems, fuel cylinders attach to Karura's centre to provide the energy needed for propulsion. These are removed and refilled during the times Karura orbits inhabited planets. Karura has been travelling for a number of years. New passengers do arrive, but most have been onboard for a while.
